24. How much does the salesperson's and broker's license costs ?

Salesperson:

The first fee is for the privilege of sitting for the test. The salesperson's examination fee is $60. Once you successfully pass the salesperson's exam, the DRE will send you an application, which of course you must fill out and mail back to them. The salesperson license fee is $245. You must dispatch the application to the DRE with the license fee of $245 for the Salesperson. You can use a credit card or a check. This $245 pays for a four-year license, there is also a onetime fingerprint processing fee of $51 and a live scan service fee which should be paid directly to the live scan provider (not to the DRE). Once you pass the test the DRE will send you a list of approved fingerprint companies.

Original license or examination applicants who reside in California will pay a $51 fingerprint processing fee directly to the live scan fingerprint service provider. Original license applicants who reside out of state should submit the $51 fingerprint processing fee to the DRE with their application and license fee. Broker:
