HOW DOES ONE PASS THE STATE EXAM THE FIRST TIME OR NEXT TIME?
The answer to this question is quite simple, but not easy. In order to pass your test, the first time or the next time you take it, you must first of all know what is on the test before you take it, Secondly you must know which answer the person that wrote the question, considers to be most correct.
This is easier said than done. Why? Firstly, the Department of Real Estate is constantly writing new questions, it is said that they now have over 3000 questions in their data bank. Secondly, the DRE is currently using seven different salesperson tests that they constantly rotate. Wouldn't you agree that you would have a great advantage if you knew which questions the DRE will be using when you take your test ? J Marshall Schoonover has years of experience (34 years as of 2012) of analyzing how the DRE thinks and has most of their habits down to a science. He is normally able to narrow the question selection down, based upon when and where you are taking your state test!
WHY DOES GROUP EXAM TUTORING WORK?
One of the paramount reasons as to why my programs work is that most schools cover a lot of material that does not necessarily pertain to your real estate exam. Therefore it is easy to get lost as well as as confused with all of the material that they cover because they do not zero in on what you need to know to pass your exam. We cover a little bit of the subjects that pertain to the test that you will be taking. To use a metaphor, have you ever watched an old world war II movie? When the military would fire off their anti-aircraft guns they seldom hit their target. Today, the United States, for example, has what they call cruise missiles that can zero in on a target from an amazing distance away with deadly accuracy. Our tutoring is like a cruise missile, the crash courses are like the old anti-aircraft guns. A second reason, as to why group tutoring works is that we use key words. We are convinced that you do not need to understand the material in order to pass the test. Paradoxically, you can know too much. We have found that the more you know about a given subject in the real world the more difficulty you will have with questions that pertain to that subject on the state test. The solution is word connection . For every question we show you we use key words to help yuo identify the question and select the correct answer. For example, if you see the word alcohol in a question you will find the word defeasible in the answer. If the question talks about a husband and wife, the answer will be community property. A third reason that the group tutoring works so well is that J Marshall Schoonover is a master communicator and he enjoys what he is doing.
HOW MUCH TUTORING (THERAPY) DO I NEED?
We recommend a modicum of two weekend modules (most testees take one weekend). We accomplish more in one weekend than the real estate schools do in their crash courses. We cut to the chase. We zero in on what you need to know for the test you are taking. We use key word reinforcement. We have designed modules that work very well for some testees. You will see more in the module of therapy than you need to see in order to pass your real estate test. The one weekend is enough for some students, however, one weekend is not enough for everyone. The one weekend will probably work with a person that has had the time and/or discipline to study. ( By studying what we mean is reading a question, reading the four ostensible answers (do not premark the answers) selected an answer, immediately checking to see if you have selected the correct answer, if you have selected the correct answer moving along to the next question, if you seleted the wrong answer immediately reading the explanation. We recommend a minimum of 800 questions. This is easier said than done. You may not believe this, the material is extremely boring and time-consuming.) The one weekend also sometimes works well for a person that has not had the time to study, but is skilled at taking test. You know if you are or not. If a person does not have the time to study, does not want to study or is not skilled at taking test one weekend module may not be enough. The solution is to take two weekend modules. This works very well for the individual that has not had the time to study or doesn't want to study. Yes some testees may require an additional two to four hours of private tutoring. The two to four additional hours of private tutoring works very well for the indivdual that wonts to play it safe. The important point is, you want to take the tutoring as close to the test as possible because of the fact we use key word memorization and the words only stay in your head for a few days.
How much does the weekend (or weekends), & personal one-on-one private (or semiprivate) tutoring cost?
Are you asking how much will it cost you if J Marshall does tutor you, or are you asking how much will it cost you if he does not? First of all, most of my clients take one complete weekend! If you take both Saturday and Sunday (one complete weekend) it will cost you $415, (with a $15 discount if you use cash) which takes it to $400 for one complete weekend. Private tutoring is $105 per hour ($100 cash). Semiprivate tutoring is $80 ($75 cash). per hour, per person. One half hour is $55. However, if you take Broker/Salesperson Saturday only, or Sunday only, it will cost you $310 per day, with a $10 discount if you use cash, which takes it to $300 for one day. It is recommended that you take take no less than one weekend ( Saturday and Sunday). In fact, we strongly recommend that you consider taking two weekends with J. Marshall if you're time schedule and budget allow for it. Two weekends will cost you $585, with a $20 discount if you use cash, which takes it to $565, for two weekends. Or if your schedule and budget allow for it, consider taking one complete weekend and some private or a semiprivate tutoring in addition to the one weekend (it is best to do the private or semiprivate tutoring in-between the weekend and your state exam). You can wait and see how you do on the weekend before you commit to private or semiprivate tutoring if you wish. If you are comparing our prices to other schools please be aware that not all weekend real estate exam cram course/review programs are equal. Just like not all cars are equal! For example, a Maserati will cost you more than a Chevrolet. Can you picture yourself in a Maserati, I can! Please talk to students that have taken my program before you make your decision. I get students that have taken weekend programs somewhere else and learned that my program is the best the hard way. Remember, J Marshall law says "You usually get what you pay for!".
